What are the characteristics of polyester needled felt?

Polyester needle-punched felt is the main filter material in the bag filter. It adopts the non-woven needle-punching process, and the polyester staple fibers are carded and laid on the fine fiber cloth with staggered fibers and uniform void distribution, and then needle-punched into felt. This filter material has high strength, good elastic recovery performance, stable fabric size, good wear resistance, large porosity, good air permeability, long service life, good dust removal effect, and good mechanical properties at room temperature (below 130C). Polyester needled felts are often mixed with antistatic fibers, singeing, calendering, water-repellent and oil-proof impregnation according to the characteristics of dust from different manufacturers. Compared with general woven filter material, needle punched filter felt has the following advantages:

 

1.) Large porosity and good air permeability, which can improve the load capacity of equipment and reduce pressure loss and energy consumption. Needle-punched filter felt is a fine short fiber filter cloth with staggered arrangement and uniform pore distribution, and the porosity can reach more than 70%, which is twice that of woven filter cloth. Using needle-punched fabrics as filter bags can reduce the size of baghouses and significantly reduce energy consumption.

2.) High dust removal efficiency and low gas emission concentration. The actual measurement shows that the efficiency of filtering 325 mesh talc powder (about 7.5um in median diameter) can reach 99.9-99.99%, which is an order of magnitude higher than that of flannel. The gas emission concentration can be greatly lower than the national standard.

3.) The surface is finished by hot rolling, singeing or coating, the surface is flat and smooth, not easy to block, not easy to deform, easy to clean, and has a long service life. The service life of needle felt is generally 1 to 5 times that of woven filter cloth.

4.) Strong chemical stability. Not only can filter normal temperature or high temperature gas, but also can filter aggressive gas containing acid and alkali.
